Brandon has been active duty for six years and as a Surface Warfare Officer, leadership has been at the forefront of his experience in the Navy. His previous assignments include being the Ordnance Officer and First Lieutenant onboard the USS BAINBRIDGE (DDG 96) and the Electrical Officer onboard USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7). Brandon is pursuing his Electrical Engineering master’s degree at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. During his time in Monterey, he has become a Community Outreach Lead for the local chapter of the National Naval Officers Association and became the President of the organization in June 2020. He has built a relationship with Monterey High School’s Mentorship Program for young women and men, Pearl Status and The Huddle Club, respectively to affect positive change for students preparing transition into the world from high school. In college, Brandon trained with professional educators to be able to facilitate a curriculum in a class of college students as the Executive Officer of the Sexual Harassment Assault Prevention Education program.

The level of involvement that the military has had in Monterey County is the reason that Brandon wants to help individuals of all ages learn the importance of intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships, emotional intelligence, followership and leadership. This will increase the awareness of each individual who commits to a self reflecting journey to a new future.
