Christine Gerry (Cole)

About me

Christine Gerry (Cole) was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. From North Carolina State University, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education and her commissioning into the United States Navy. Prior to moving to Seaside, California, Christine completed two deployments on USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG 58), a Guided Missile Cruiser, homeported in Mayport, Florida. During her time onboard, Christine served as the Operations Information Division Officer, Combat Electronics Division Officer and the Training Officer. Succeeding her deployments, Christine served as a Protocol Officer for the United States Central Command, at MacDill Air Force base in Tampa, Florida. Christine is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Operations Research at the Naval Postgraduate School. In her academic studies, she routinely uses computer programming languages, Python and R, to conduct statistical analysis and mathematical modeling. Christine is also an active member of the National Naval Officers Association (NNOA) and serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator for the NNOA, Monterey Bay Chapter.
